Catchment Area

Community legal centres (CLCs) are independent, non-profit community organisations that provide free legal services to the public. Community legal centres provide referral, advice and assistance for people living in a geographic area .These services are provided free of charge.  Most centres receive funds from a variety of sources including state and federal governments and philanthropic organisations, but some receive no or very little funding and are staffed entirely by volunteers. CLC services include information and advice; casework and minor assistance; representation and advocacy; community legal education; policy and law reform. Each CLC may offer difference services, depending on the needs of the community.  

We provide free legal advice and financial counselling information for low income earners who live, work or study within the City of

Moonee Valley. The centre is also involved in community development and law reform programs.

We offer and use independent interpreters when required either by telephone (TIS) or On-Site interpreters (VITS).
